Description
As a Project Design Electrical Engineer, you will lead design projects in operational data centers that remediate issues, upgrade our existing infrastructure, and add new services. You will be the 'go-to' engineering resource for these projects and will provide lifecycle support from design through implementation.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design solutions which add data center infrastructure, capacity, improve availability, and increase sustainability.
  2. Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
  3. Support construction, commissioning, and turnover.
  4. Be detail and data oriented with familiarity with design/construction processes.
  5. Build trust and relationships with different stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Commissioning, Construction, and Design).

A day in the life
Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for various aspects of the data centers. You will mentor and oversee the work of junior engineers in your discipline. You will have the opportunity to work on projects locally and globally, with up to 25% travel.

About the team
The Fleet Remediation Team is a multidisciplinary engineering team that delivers engineering design support to operational AWS data centers. We ensure safety, availability, and resilience of data center infrastructure.
