Wind and Site Technician (m/f/d)

MISSION:

Develop and improve the wind tool, provide support during the tendering phase. Support in the wind analysis and technical evaluation of the wind tool risk during execution of the project.

TASKS:
  1. Analyze and understand site-specific wind and climate.
  2. Analyze constraints for every specific site, supporting the Tendering team during wind risks analysis to achieve optimal conditions considering project constraints (hub height, rotor diameter, major component wind speed limit).
  3. Align with the engineering department to understand and define the right parameters.
  4. Calculate the wind impact on-site during project execution outcomes and compare them with results obtained from the wind tool.
  5. Combine technical requirements and practical limitations to achieve the best wind risk performance.
  6. Identify risks and opportunities to improve the wind tool.
  7. Gather wind analysis from different sites and compare with the wind tool.
  8. Implement and support corporate processes and tools and develop locally required processes/tools with different regions.
  9. Report achievements, risks, and challenges on a regular basis.
  10. Occasional travel within the country and abroad is part of the job.
  11. Availability to be allocated in Madrid or Tajonar (Navarra).
PROFILE:

Bachelor's technical Engineering/Meteorology degree or equivalent. Profiles without such education may be considered if they can prove experience (3 years). Required competencies include:

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with wind tools.
  2. Competence in wind flow modelling and using relevant software such as WindPro, WAsP, or other comparable software.
  3. Experience with CFD codes.
  4. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
  5. At least 3 years in a similar position/job.
  6. Experience in crane and transport in wind energy.
  7. Crane operations planning.
  8. High level of English; knowledge of German is a plus.
  9. Strong communication skills.
  10. Proactivity and assertiveness.
  11. Ability to work with multicultural teams.
