Inside our Business Group PSD (Powertrain Systems Driveline), Valeo Fuenlabrada Plant is a Development Center (DC) and Production Site (PS) specialized in developing and manufacturing clutch products dedicated to Aftermarket Manual Transmission. Since 2005, Valeo Fuenlabrada has been a specific Valeo Plant dedicated to Aftermarket, with a dedicated R&D & Project department recognized as a Worldwide Aftermarket Competence Center to support other Valeo Plants dedicated to Aftermarket Product development.


Currently, for our entity ValeoPSD Aftermarket entity in Fuenlabrada, we recruit Mechanics Engineer.


Your Challenges:
  1. Close cooperation with R&D Project Engineers, obtaining requirements for design parts of the project.
  2. Prepare component and assembly 3D models / 2D drawings and related technical documentation, perform customer package and assembly checks using available CAD Systems (CATIA V5, ANSYS).
  3. Check conformity of the completed design with current design rules.
  4. Calculate and analyze dimensioning and tolerance according to ISO and ASME standards.
  5. Design Product considering Failure mode analysis (DFMEA, PFMEA).
  6. Apply design-for-manufacturing (DFM), design-for-assembly (DFA), and GD&T principles.
  7. Assist with Feasibility Studies and support Supplier RFQ activities.
  8. Solve problems using both logic and creative and innovative approaches.
  9. Keep up to date with new standards and general market information in the industry.
  10. Work innovatively and creatively within the group with a particular focus on protecting innovation and IP through the patent process.
  11. Ensure proper storage, archiving, and distribution of all issued documents (models and drawings, distribution documents, technical Bill of Material - BoM) in agreement with the R&D Project Engineers.
  12. Advise on system compatibility issues, data management, and security; make improvement suggestions.

The ideal candidate will:
  1. Have a Mechanical Engineering degree.
  2. Have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position in an automotive/production company.
  3. Master CATIA V5 (Part, Assembly, and Drafting Workbenches).
  4. Be skilled in dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) design.
  5. Have good knowledge of manufacturing processes (Machining, for the assembly and alignment of the products you create).
  6. Have good knowledge of Material Mechanical properties and FEA simulation tools (Finite Element Analysis) Stress, Deflection, and Modal Analysis, Dynamics Analysis, CFD.
  7. Be fluent in English.
  8. Possess teamwork spirit, ability to cope with stress, and work under time pressure.
  9. Exhibit customer orientation and accuracy with precision.
