Main Role Purpose : To support both operations and administrative functions in the Plants to reduce waste and optimize value to grow in the Operational Excellence using Lean Six Sigma tools.

Job description and duties :

  • Value Stream Analysis (current and future state Value Stream mapping)
  • Support the Plant’s operations, develop future state vision and implementation plan
  • Drive multifunctional/ multicultural teams
  • Support “One Lear” by ensuring Best Practices are shared across the plants and across regions, division and functions.
  • Celebrate success and build enthusiasm and energy around Continuous Improvement.
  • Train teams in Lean and Six Sigma Tools.
  • Identify and drive to implement model Lean lines/cells, and then extend to other plants.
  • Assist in the fathering of Lear Assessment data. Collaborate with the Manufacturing Improvement Leader to improve Lean -metrics.
  • Using standard tracking and reporting systems, will prepare detailed plans, drive project performance and assure timely completion and achievement of product/process quality and saving goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop a plant C.I. roadmap, bridging business metrics gaps with either, 1) Just Do It improvements, 2) Six Sigma projects, or 3) Lean Implementation projects.
  • Identifies barriers to project success and solicits help from champions when needed.
  • Assist the Manufacturing Improvement Leader in any strategic initiatives that will help in compliance to standards, implementing new systems, and designing creative solutions that will help in compliance to standards, implementing new systems and designing creative solutions that will continuously improve the plant.
  • Facilitate cross-functional expert team to drive breakthrough or Best-In-Class performance in People, Quality, Material Flow or Cost.
  • Develop his/ her team based on the versatility matrix to ensure talent is valued.
  • Accountability to impact on operational cost.
  • All other tasks as assigned.
  • Any other duties and when necessary to meet the varying demands of the business and satisfy the customers’ needs.

To be a success in this role you must have :

  • Degree in engineering
  • Lean Manufacturing qualifications: Black Belt / Green Belt and Lean Practitioner or equivalent is necessary.,
  • Previous experience of Lean Manufacturing Principles of at least 5 Years
  • Previous experience of working in automotive environment is a nice to have
  • Multicultural adaptability
