MISSION

• Lead the SW Development engineering team in order to guarantee the proper implementation of new products design and the prototypes delivery to the customer fulfilling the R&D Processes.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

• At offer phase, define for the project the Software Development scope of work, estimate resources, evaluate the feasibility of achieving the goals, taking into account available resources and constrains, and plan project activities and outputs to reach quality, timing, and cost goals according to SW Development processes.
• Estimate and allocate SW Development resources to the projects, escalate resource needs and report risks/efforts to the SW Development Manager, coordinate and supervise SW Development engineering team workload reallocating resources across projects when necessary according to priority and management directives, and manage employee leaves & vacations.
• Evaluate SW Development team knowledge, detect training needs, gather project needs and plan training accordingly, including training needs for managing customer specific requirements (CSR).
• Break down team goals from SW Development area goals and ensure its fulfilment through all organization chart top-down, define team goals and development plans and evaluate the performance according to applicable HR processes providing effective performance feedback.
• Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment and ensure execution of R&D processes and the usage of standard tools.
• Monitor and report the progress of the projects and resources to the SW Development Manager ensuring their appropriateness and accuracy and take actions to correct deviations.
• Ensure execution of Lessons Learned Process, encourage the team to identify process improvements and to provide improvement proposals in SW Development technologies/products.
• Support the preparation of the department budget and ensure is not exceeded.
• Observe FICOSA’s Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices. Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.
• Lead the team, guaranteeing its effectiveness, development and motivation, fostering FICOSA's values.
• Provide the team with the necessary means to comply with OSHE rules, ensuring they are properly used.
• Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting and improving the OSHE and Quality department.

Academic background : Bachelor’s degree in SW engineering/Computer Science or Telecommunications

Languages : Fluent in local language & Fluent English (spoken & written)

Experience : Minimum of 5 years in SW engineering positions

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS

Additional training : Knowledge and experience regarding management skills, specific automotive software embedded development tools, and applicable standards (such as Automotive SPICE, Functional Safety, and Cybersecurity) would be of additional value.
