Data Engineer (Cloudera) Madrid / Sevilla - Spain

In our CoE in Madrid & Sevilla we are currently looking for a Data Engineer to continue the growth of our team, to leverage our product portfolio and to develop new data driven solutions that address the business challenges our customers are currently facing.

  • You will work with data loading processes, transformations, data migrations and preprocessing;
  • Your work environment will be based on Big Data technologies, with special focus on Cloudera.

Your profile

  • Solid programming skills, ideally in Python, Scala or similar languages to build stand-alone processes and jobs;

  • Experience working in Agile teams and working with DevOps principles;

  • Knowledge of Big Data concepts (MapReduce, Spark, HDFS, Hive, ElasticSearch, Kafka) and SQL user level; special focus on Cloudera Data Platform (CDH 6) :

  • Basic Knowledge of database administration and distributed systems.

  • Holding a Cloudera certification would be nicely considered (Cloudera Certified Associate Spark and Hadoop Develop or Cloudera Generalist).

You have a natural passion for technology and software development and, therefore, you understand the importance of writing high quality and reusable code. On a personal level, you like taking the initiative, you are eager to learn and enjoy working in a team. On top of that, you are also fluent both in Spanish and English.
