In addition to its own products, BASF Española S.L. markets more than 5,000 products from the BASF Group: chemical, organic and inorganic products, catalysts; phytosanitary products, plastic materials, dispersions and raw materials for the inks, paints, plastics, paper, ceramics and cosmetics industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage EPC/EPCm and Construction contract activities for the assigned large capital investment project(s) in Region Europe.
  • Well control the procurement plans of the EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts and ensure the proper implementation of procurement strategies and procedures.
  • Ensure the proper implementation and handling of the commercial contract elements.
  • Act as central point-of-contact for all commercial and contractual activities related to the EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts.
  • Lead the tendering process following the defined strategies and procurement procedure and select competitive bids with compliance.
  • Monitor and ensure the EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts executed on time and within budget.
  • Deliver the most competitive advantages to BASF throughout the lifecycle of the EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts.
  • Identify commercial and legal risks and problems and solve and mitigate such proactively in close cooperation with the project manager and other team members.
  • Work collaboratively, efficiently and effectively with internal clients, including Business Unit, Legal, Finance, Tax, Audit, etc., and external parties including contractors and competitors.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law or Engineering; Master's degree will be considered as a plus.
  • At least 10 years of contract administration experience and 5 years of them as a Contract Manager or in a similar position.
  • Experience with EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts management is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of Contract Law and Construction Law is required.
  • Knowledge on purchasing processes, cost structures and guidelines is required. Knowledge on cost engineering is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish is required, German is valuable.
  • Excellent comunication skills, entrepreneurial and teamwork spirit.
