JOB PURPOSE

  • This role is accountable for executing coordinating and managing the Emerging Growth Accounts and Business development function within the Business Healthcare - across Pharma, Medical and Technical Specialties. The main purpose is to ensure the EGA and BD team have the right managerial and process support to drive a disproportionate amount of Amcor growth in the space, following the new Sales Force Effectiveness strategic principles. With significant opportunities for growth, it will be critical to set up, implement and maintain clearly defined processes that translate the long term strategic plan in to action and to motivate & engage the salesforce.

JOB DIMENSION & SCOPE

Staff : The incumbent will lead a team of EGA Account Managers and BD Managers working for the Business Unit located across the European region.

Number & Type of Accounts :Mix of emerging growth accounts and new business opportunities

Internal Stakeholder level involvement and impact :High and strategic

Budget Responsibility : 65M Euro plus Business Development pipeline above 10M Euro

Geographic spread :Multinational across EMEA

Principal Accountabilities

  • Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.
  • Develop tailored to customer / prospect sales strategies and value propositions that respond effectively to their needs and enable to value sell our capabilities / products
  • Articulate Sales policy, procedures and guidelines to support the sales strategy execution (incl. pricing and contract management) while meeting regulatory requirements
  • Monitor business performance against target - both volume and margin and coordinate corrective actions to sales programs, if necessary, to achieve target commitments
  • Develop and maintain organizational sales capability, being the champion and primary sponsor of Amcor Sales Force Effectiveness tools and methods (V+, SFDC, ANP, KAM)
  • Hire & onboard new team members as required, engage and motivate, translate BG&BU goals to team and strongly manage performance

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Formal Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum Bachelor’s qualification in Business, or technical field
  • Minimum 10 years overall Sales experience in an MNC environment, preferably with multinational businesses
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a sales or commercial management role leading successful teams
  • Demonstrate excellent project / process and people management skills
  • Experience in working in newly set up roles & organization with rapidly changing environments
  • Excellent communication skills in English, any other European language an asset
