About the role : The role of Product Management Operation is to drive operational efficiency in product management to enable the efficient development and commercialization of the next generation Straumann Group digital innovations. The tasks include, but are not limited to material masterdata creation, pricing and logistic flow. The PM Operation function is a key link between the product managers and all processes around the product lifecycle. This function requires curiosity, a great facility to build bridges between different functions, structured and logical thinking, and the drive to propose and implement optimizations in the processes.

Main responsibilities include :

  • Participate in product management projects to understand the PM needs
  • Maintenance of all processes to open a new product in SAP, maintain a product during its active phase and phase out a product when the product is removed from market
  • Review, challenge and propose optimization in the various processes
  • Act as a gate keeper to synchronize these processes for multiple portfolios
  • Compile regular analysis to check the master data and correct where necessary
  • Support the PMs in pricing maintenance
  • Maintain the floor price tool and run analysis by portfolio to track
  • Contact for the program BEST (Business Excellence at Straumann Group) for the Product Management Area
  • Highly motivated to work at the interface of product management and the company’s ERP system in a growing and multinational environment
  • Familiar with IT systems and prone to participate actively to the digitalization of company’s processes
  • Highly analytical and structured person, capable of managing different projects in parallel, and not afraid of managing workload peaks from times to times
  • Able to work with abstract data and understand the strategic importance of well-maintained master data and showing ownership and responsibility for these data, combined with a good business acumen
  • A generous personality, willing to help the PM teams, curious to learn and open to propose optimization ideas

* Academic background :

  • Bachelor's degree in either Engineering, IT or Finance
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, any other languages is an asset (German)
  • Digital-fluent, at ease with Office suite, and ideally experience with an ERP system (e.g. SAP)
  • High interest in continuous improvement process, ideally combined with a green-belt training or comparable work experience
