The collection of hotels led by flagship property Marbella Club is seeking a detail-oriented, creative and strategic senior wordsmith copywriter to support day-to-day functions across all communications channels. Your words will convey the allure and individuality of our growing portfolio of hotels, ensuring our voice resonates with our target audience, shaping the evolving narrative of our brands, and bringing to life the unique stories of each property in the collection.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop a tone-of-voice style guide across the following properties (Marbella Club, Teranka Formentera, El Lodge Ski & Spa, Maribel Ski & Après Ski) and maintain a consistent and distinctive brand voice across all communications platforms in coordination with the marketing and sales team.
  2. Work tightly in collaboration with ownership, the Branding Director and marketing teams on the ground to write, edit, update and proofread original copy for various mediums, including websites, seasonal newsletters, corporate magazine, email campaigns, social media, corporate blog, print materials, press releases, awards submissions, and guest-facing communications.
Qualifications
  1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in copywriting, preferably within the luxury, hospitality, or travel sectors. Agency, in-house hospitality or journalism experience is a plus.
  2. Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a versatility of writing styles and mediums, with an emphasis on niche luxury and/or hospitality brands.
  3. Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Strong understanding of SEO and digital content best practices.
  4. Creativity: A keen eye for detail, with the ability to craft evocative and persuasive narratives.
  5. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams across multiple destinations.
  6. Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  7. Patience and motivated to learn: You have a passion for or sensibility for the luxury travel industry and are motivated to perfect and dedicated to your craft.
  8. Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  9. Availability to travel.

Languages: Native written and verbal competence of English; proficiency in Spanish. Domain of other languages will be highly valued but not necessary.
