Senior Accountant

Why You’ll Love This Role:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be at the forefront of financial excellence, ensuring precise financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting strategic business decisions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Enhancement: Design and improve accounting and financial processes and tools, manage financial records, and lead bookkeeping across various entities. Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements.
2. Inventory Management: Oversee accounting for inventory management and other areas like Capex. Implement effective transfer price policies and adopt a hands-on approach to solving complex problems.
3. Tax Compliance: Establish and maintain tax files and records, document transactions, and drive system automation within the accounting and finance departments to boost efficiency and accuracy.

Must-Have Skills:

1. Experience: At least 5 years in accounting within a multinational environment.
2. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Economic and Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
3. Expertise: Proficient in financial close processes, tax implications, and exposure to auditors.
4. Communication: Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, both oral and written. Catalan is a plus.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

1. Industry Experience: Tech and start-up/scale-up experience.
2. Audit Experience: Minimum of 2 years in audit roles.
3. Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office, accounting software, SAP, databases, and ERP systems.
4. Knowledge: Strong understanding of Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
