SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing and supervising the accounting and tax activities. Reporting to the local Head of Finance, you will work as part of a Finance Team and collaborate with Group Controlling Department.

1. Ensuring the integrity of accounting information.
2. Coordination and execution of the day-to-day accounting activities and accounts reconciliation to ensure that financial records are accurate by reconciling accounts, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues.
3. Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
4. Performing month-end and year-end close processes.
5. Support on AP & AR, performing supplier invoice validation and cancellation control in coordination with Shared Service Center team.
6. Ensure compliance with Spanish tax regulations, managing the indirect tax filings timely and meet all local compliance requirements.
7. Preparing monthly accounting analyses and reports.
8. Design, document, implement, and execute internal controls to ensure transactions and balances are accurately reported.
9. Assisting with annual audit preparations, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
10. Ensure acceptable levels of internal and external controls are compliance with all group and local regulations.
11. Develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures and continually review the process and procedures to maximize impact and efficiency.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
2. Proven experience as a Senior Accountant / Chief Accountant for at least 5 years.
3. In-depth knowledge of Spanish accounting and tax laws. Knowledge of IFRS GAAP.
4. Excellent knowledge of MS EXCEL.
5. Fluent in English and Spanish.
6. Strong organizational, analytical and planning skills.
7. Experience in SAP ERP (nice-to-have).
8. Result-oriented.
9. Analytical skills and very well organized.
