What will you do? Reporting to the Global Financial Controller, your role can be based in any Central European Location . As the Financial Controller you will partner with the business to ensure that our results are analyzed and opportunities and risks are identified to support our goal to improve business results continually.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the outsourced accounting and tax activities for the designated entities to ensure consistency of the financial statements, management reports, systems, and controls.
  2. Prepare revenue recognition, cost reviews and adjustments in compliance with the local and group accounting standards.
  3. Manage the month-end reconciliations delivered by the accounting & tax service provider.
  4. Lead the month, quarter and year-end financial close and reporting process for the different entities, including reviews of all aspects of the accounting and controlling.
  5. Ensure the accuracy of monthly financial statements, quarterly and year-end reporting packages for all entities.
  6. Prepare and implement the financial, accounting and tax-related processes necessary to implement business combinations.
  7. Improve and standardize reporting activities, in alignment with group directions and global initiatives.
  8. Liaise with external auditors, as required, to monitor the overall audit process, address audit requests in a timely, efficient and consistent manner, and ensure that any findings are adequately addressed to mitigate risk.
  9. Provide business-enhancing solutions and reporting that facilitates optimal decision-making to maximize results.
  10. Participate in the business planning and forecasting process, helping to ensure that financial projections are properly reported and in line with global, regional, and market requirements.
  11. Supporting the Global Controller and technical experts to research and accurately advise on technical accounting issues related to strategic transactions, including major capex, business combinations, financial instruments and other complex areas.
  12. Partner in developing a strong Controlling organization, building team resources that are trained and equipped with the appropriate skills and competencies to achieve high performance in our financial reporting, control, and business partnering roles.

To be successful, you’ll have

  1. Accredited University Finance degree.
  2. Qualified Accountant (ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent), preferred.
  3. +/- 10 years of experience, including 5 years in similar role and responsibilities.
  4. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, SOX (incl. process review, testing & documentation).
  5. Previous exposure to accounting for business combinations, in a multinational environment.
  6. Proficiency with leading ERP systems, MS Dynamics is a plus.
  7. Exposure to consulting industry, strong desire to learn the business.
  8. Good communication, ability to work effectively & push for change in a multi-cultural environment.
  9. Strong organizational skills, structured, results driven.
  10. Able to cope with changing environment and priorities.
  11. Hands-on, pragmatic, able to translate theoretical knowledge into business reality.
  12. Team player focused on results and collaboration.
