Description

Overall Objectives
  1. To develop the overall pricing strategy for all segments, feeder markets and distribution channels, in conjunction with Director of Sales and Marketing.
  2. To drive Revenue and Profit Performance and increase Market Share.
  3. To spread a Revenue Culture within the hotel teams.
  4. To optimize Room Reservation Sales by motivating the team, including cross selling and upselling.
  5. To ensure PMS / Systems information is always up to date.
  6. Ensure quality of reservation calls is always above 85%.
  7. Safeguard guests' information and minimize risks for the property by ensuring GDPR, PCI/DSS and other standards are strictly adhered to.
  8. Ensure efficient communication to all relevant departments in order to best prepare the guest's upcoming stay.
  9. Ensure Kempinski Reservations standards are implemented and adhered to.
  10. Ensure requests are answered in a timely and professional manner, reflecting European Luxury.
  11. Safeguard data quality and accurate reporting.
  12. Ensure Reservations team is constantly observing the highest standard of quality and sales techniques.
Key Responsibilities Main Responsibilities Forecasting and Budgeting:
  1. Actively take part in the Room's Annual Budget and Business Plan preparation and presentation.
  2. Produce an accurate room Revenue forecast for the upcoming 12 months.
  3. Hold a strong leadership role in the monthly Forecast Meeting.
Data Analysis:
  1. Monitor and analyze Market conditions based on all available data sources.
  2. Prepare month-end Comments, including Segmentation, Country statistics, Room Type optimization, upselling, Top producing account, GDS and website performance, STR performance.
Strategy Setting and Deployment:
  1. Proactively identify need periods and adapt Sales & Pricing strategy accordingly.
  2. Set Rate structure, Demand Calendar and Upsell strategy.
  3. Implement and effectively manage the sales and pricing strategy across all distribution channels.
  4. Manage inventory and oversell strategy.
  5. Perform Group displacement analysis.
  6. Ensure all sellable contracted rates are loaded in all systems.
Optimize Opportunities and Reduce Risk:
  1. Ensure all day arrivals are fully confirmed and guaranteed.
  2. Control no show and late cancellation charges.
  3. Monitor reservation pick-up for the coming months.
Increase Sales:
  1. Ensure Reservations Team is fully aware of all prices, promotions, and packages available.
  2. Ensure the system is set up to display the Rates to be proposed first.
  3. Maintain an internal upsell / cross-sell program for the Reservations department.
Communication, Culture and Development:
  1. Provide Executive Committee with regular Revenue Management updates.
  2. Lead the Weekly Revenue Meeting.
  3. Organize regular educational and information meetings.
Data Quality & Compliance:
  1. Ensure Kempinski Revenue Management & Reservations standards are implemented.
  2. Control Rate Report and ensure all tasks covered in the checklists are executed.
Leadership & Team Management:
  1. Recruit, train and manage performance of direct reports.
  2. Set goals, mentor and motivate the team.
Other:
  1. Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Education

Minimum of high school, Baccalaureat (Abitur), A-level exam and a Professional Certification (Bachelor, University Degree, Hotel School Diploma).

Work Experience
  1. A minimum of 2 years experience in Revenue Management, including electronic distribution.
  2. A proven track record of increasing revenue streams.
  3. Experience with data analysis, including E-Commerce KPIs.
Languages

Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment:

  1. English – excellent verbal and written skills.
  2. Local language – excellent verbal and written skills (as applicable).
  3. Additional languages would be considered an asset.
Computer Skills
  1. Opera PMS.
  2. Opera Central Systems / SynXis.
  3. Channel Manager.
  4. RMS knowledge, preferably with IDeaS or EZRMS.
  5. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Excel.
Additional

Must be in possession of / be eligible for a working permit in the region of hire.
