Job Description Summary

Work location: El Palmar (Murcia).

The Quality Control Technician ensures the correct procedure of radiopharmaceutical quality control with high standards of GMP, HSE, environmental protection, and good working practices.

This is a maternity leave replacement and we offer a temporary contract.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Manages the receipt of raw materials and production material;
  • Ensures correct order and cleaning of cabinets and refrigerators for storage of reagents, standards, raw materials, and production material;
  • Supports the head of CQ in the execution of various activities under the responsibility of the Department of Quality Control (preparation of standards and reagents, micro-biological monitoring of pharmaceutical facilities, management of Counter-sample and dispatch of samples to external companies for complementary quality control, periodic qualification and calibration of analytical instrumentation);
  • Under the coordination of the response QC, performs the necessary activities for the correct execution of the various activities of the laboratory of Quality Control;
  • Assists people in charge of radioprotection in management of radioactivity measuring instruments (environmental monitoring probes, pollutants, Geiger-Muller meters, active and passive dosimeters) and in the handling of decontamination tanks;
  • Execution of the quality controls of the different radiopharmaceuticals;
  • Management of analytical techniques such as HPLC, gas chromatography, TLC, pH meter, activity meter, method of detection of endotoxins, etc.;
  • Compliance with the correct manufacturing standards applied to the quality control of Radiopharmaceuticals;
  • Collaborate in the implementation and revalidation of quality control processes.

Obligatory requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree.
  • Strong affinity with and awareness of quality issues.
  • Open and clear collaboration and communication to ensure the daily operation runs smoothly.
  • Capability to work under pressure and understanding of sense of urgency around given tasks.
  • Fluent in Spanish, medium-good knowledge of English is preferred.

Desirable requirements:

  • Radiation safety education.
