Your mission

Within The Workshop, MSP is a highly private, managed services and data centre hosting facility. We offer an array of different products and services including cloud, co-location, managed security and many other ‘as a’ services. Our business is made up of diverse, highly skilled people who enable our customers and their businesses by matching the right solutions to their technology needs.

In addition, Okens is the domain registration business for our group providing global domain registration for those seeking to mitigate digital risk through confidentiality and security.

You are a strong, experienced Sales Executive with significant experience in the Domain Registration sector who can build and maintain long-term, trusting relationships with our new and existing customers, both internal and external. You will be proactive in:

  • Overseeing a portfolio of assigned customers
  • Develop new business from existing customers and actively seek new sales opportunities.
  • Increasing the Okens foot print in existing customers through strategic account development
  • Influencing the product team to constantly innovate and differentiate on the market
  • Progressively introducing new Okens solution sets to key customers
  • You will have a passion for technology and are happy using your initiative to promote new ideas within the business.
  • You help to support and grow the Okens business, to help win new business, to identify new technologies, products and services that can increase Oken’s market share

What you'll do

  • Act as a key point of contact & escalation for customers questions and requests
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of services according to customer needs and objectives
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly results and annual forecasts)
  • Develop new business with existing customers
  • Participate in identifying growth sectors and build strategic growth plans accordingly
  • Work closely with finance to ensure timely payments and manage debt
  • Work closely with Marketing both strategically and tactically to ensure targeted lead generation (online & offline)
  • Work closely with Technical Support Team to ensure customers requests are handled in a quick and efficient manner
  • Represent Okens at selected industry events
  • Identify service issues and work with customer and internal teams on improvement programs

What you'll bring

  • Proven Account Management experience in a fast-paced growing organisation
  • Experience dealing with a varied customer base and building solid B2B relations
  • Ability to adapt technical language into easily understood business language for customers
  • Proven track record or dealing with varied customer base through to Director and C-Suite level
  • Experience growing an Account Management function and maturing processes
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, vendor management skills and experience
  • Credible and persuasive, with influencing skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written, spoken and presentation)
  • The ability to learn quickly, work independently and in a team setting
  • Line management experience would be advantageous
