PRODUCTION/MANUFACTURING MANAGER

Job Offer:

Multinational company belonging to the pharmaceutical industry , is looking for a Production/Manufacturing Manager for their plant located in Valencia . The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that production processes are efficient, compliant with regulatory standards, and aligned with the company's quality and safety objectives. The Manufacturing Manager leads a team of production staff, ensuring high standards of manufacturing practices, product quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all manufacturing activities to ensure timely production and delivery of pharmaceutical products.
  • Ensure manufacturing operations adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
  • Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EMA).
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) department to ensure product quality and compliance.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures and protocols throughout the production process.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training and development needs.
  • Ensure staff are trained and competent in all relevant processes and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing projects.
  • Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet production targets.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure the availability of necessary materials and supplies.
  • Promote a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and present financial and operational reports to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMP) are preferred.
