We're looking for a R&D Engineer to join our Advanced Research team in Granada, Spain. Orolia Spain (former Seven Solutions) is a company established in Granada, Spain, part of the international Orolia group.
Our Technology: The Advanced Research unit focuses on exploring new technologies and developing advanced concepts and research initiatives that aim to become key in future products. Among the key technologies that we are exploring are resilient and ultra-accurate synchronization, Time Sensitive Networking, AI applied to timing, FPGA and embedded system designs, etc.
The Position: As a R&D engineer of the Advanced Research unit, you will be a key member of our R&D Engineering team in Granada, Spain.
You will gain experience in different advanced technologies, developments and international collaborative projects. You will be involved in development tasks in time transfer and synchronization as well as deterministic networks and other technologies for different industrial segments such as financial and aerospace. You will also be involved in international grants execution and management.
What you’ll be doing:
- You will have responsibility for understanding requirements, developing a roadmap, designing and implementing features in advanced technologies.
- You will also contribute with grant proposals and international project management tasks.
- In collaboration with other international teams within Orolia and also with other companies you will be exploring different approaches for challenging scenarios.
- At the Advanced Research unit, we aim to innovate and address early developments that allow Orolia to integrate disruptive concepts and ideas with the current company solutions.
- Actively participate in international collaborative projects.
- You will work with the latest and state-of-the-art Resilient PNT technologies!
What you Bring to Orolia:
- Graduate, Master or PhD Degree in Informatics, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
- Excellent written and dissemination skills in English (advanced Cambridge certificate or similar, at least similar speaking skills).
- Technical skills with general software such as Embedded Linux, software, gateware and firmware modules for embedded systems and FPGAs.
- Team working capabilities.
- Desirable expertise in:
- Embedded software development (mainly C, C++)
- Development in FPGA
- Telecommunication networks development.
- Timing, synchronization and frequency dissemination.
- Experience in R&D projects (innovation, grants, etc).
