SENIOR AGILE COACH

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

As the Agile Coach, you will train, facilitate, and coordinate areas/teams on the agile mindset and product-led frameworks and methods. You drive and foster collaboration and transparency within a Product area or across with the key stakeholders to support high-performing product teams. It is important to coach and guide product area(s) and products on how to adopt adidas specific product-led/agile frameworks in a pragmatic way to ensure a fit for purpose in your context. Ultimately you are contributing to our own the game strategy by driving consumer and people focus. The Agile Coach will be part of the global agile coaches team to guide the organization on product-led and agile practices while constantly improving the adidas frameworks and practices.

  1. Strong facilitation and teaching skills
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
  3. Experienced in large scale transformations/change initiatives
  4. Deep understanding of all major agile frameworks
  5. Ability to prioritize work objectives and goals
  6. Experienced in coordinating the work of multiple product teams
  7. Coaching and mentoring skills; focus on empathy and engagement
  8. Conflict resolution skills and proven track record of working with multi-diverse teams
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Set coaching goals together with the customer (person/team/department) to define success of product-led/agile coaching within context
  2. Facilitate exploration of issues together with the customer to define options and experiments to improve current status
  3. Educate from expertise, provide needed training sessions and use coaching skills to help each person to make the transition to product-led/agile
  4. Guiding/explaining/providing inside-out perspective toward further understanding and adoption of product-led/agile
  5. Drive the implementation of large-scale transformation via mentoring/coaching relevant teams via participating in product-team meetings
  6. Embody the Agile principles and lead by example. Be a role model for product-led/agile
  7. Responsible for coaching teams and/or individuals via a structured approach (regular meetings)
  8. Consult teams on good practices to become more data-driven
  9. Deliver trainings in formal, informal (e.g. floor-walking) or online (e.g. e-learning and webinar) settings
  10. Identify dysfunctions within the team and help resolve the same either by the team or by bringing it to the notification of leadership at the right time
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Four-year college or university degree with focus on Business Administration or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Proficient spoken and written command of English
  3. At least 7 years’ experience in IT
  4. 5 years of experience in relevant area as dedicated Scrum Master or Agile Coach
  5. Proficiency in Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Teams
  6. Experience with Agile methodologies and scaling frameworks (LESS, SAFe, etc.)
  7. Experience in Transformation/Change Management
