Finance Analyst
We're on the lookout for a passionate and driven Financial Analyst to become the cornerstone of our finance operations in the Madrid office. This role is your chance to shine as the go-to finance expert in one of the world's leading sustainability consultancies. At ERM, we're in a period of growth and transformation, making this the perfect time to come on board. As a Financial Analyst, your mission will be to optimize both Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and cash-flow generation, key performance indicators at ERM. In your role, you will foster strong relationships with Project Managers, Partners, and other internal and external stakeholders. You'll become a vital part of our team, understanding the unique aspects of each project our consultants undertake.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Taking the lead on AR collection, prompt and timely invoicing, actions to reduce WIP balances, and to increase BIA, influencing both partners and PMs to improve DSO in future contracts.
  2. Active lead to improve all the existing processes to manage DSO to reduce admin time and to enhance cash-flow generation.
  3. Collaborate with the Financial Controller to manage daily financial operations, including project accounting, financial controlling, and intercompany transactions.
  4. Quarterly & Monthly Closings: Assist the local team with the quarterly and monthly closing processes, year-end audits, and other essential corporate financial requirements.
  5. Digital Innovation: Champion digital tools and initiatives, positioning yourself as a key advocate for innovative international financial practices.
  6. Accounting Support: Provide expertise in accounting, management procedures, and policy adherence.
  7. Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a trusted business partner to other departments and project teams, promoting collaboration and open communication.
  8. Team Development: Work with the Financial Controller to cultivate an effective cross-functional management team that values shared accountability.
What We're Looking For

To thrive in this role, you'll need a proactive and inquisitive mindset, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and a thirst for continuous learning and development. Ideally, you will bring:

  1. A bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics, or a related field.
  2. Professional Experience: 1-3 years of experience.
  3. Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish and English is essential, with additional languages considered a plus.
  4. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required, with advanced skills in Power BI and Visual Basic being highly advantageous.
