The YourCode Group is happy to work with a Polish software house that helps to connect developers, designers, and project managers with employers. They are looking for a Lead Test Automation Engineer for their client, a big and well-known telecommunication company!

Responsibilities
  1. Defining and improving QA strategy, approach, and execution in the development team;
  2. Ensuring that the development team adheres to the principles, guidelines, and best practices of the QA strategy as defined;
  3. Gather and present testing metrics and testing activities for the project to the team's key stakeholders;
  4. Focus on continuous QA improvements including the usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, and best test automation practices;
  5. Be an escalation point for all matters related to testing and quality assurance and operate as a primary point of contact in the team;
  6. Driving and improving the QA team in areas of automated testing, agile testing, framework, strategy, and discipline;
  7. Work with other QA engineers, Developers, and Tech Leads to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed department and corporate quality goals;
  8. Provide technical expertise within Test Automation and Quality Assurance;
  9. Be accountable for the test automation project, mentor, and provide leadership to the other QA automation engineers;
  10. Maintain and improve existing test automation framework and CI/CD pipelines for the team.
Requirements
  1. 3+ years of experience in QA Lead/Test Automation Engineer or similar role;
  2. Participate in refining acceptance criteria together with the business to maximize test coverage;
  3. Support and coach the team to integrate quality in all they do (unit tests, user story writing, tests automation);
  4. Contribute relentlessly to quality improvements in your team: solution design, workflow, monitoring;
  5. Practical knowledge of any programming language, preferably in a scripting language area;
  6. Ability to build and maintain custom Test Automation Frameworks;
  7. Understanding of QA methodologies, testing techniques, and Built-In-Quality;
  8. Not only know how to create test cases but also how to anticipate what is needed to execute them;
  9. Practical knowledge of working with REST APIs (incl. extensive test automation experience);
  10. Experience with Git;
  11. An assertive, proactive person who thinks analytically;
  12. Detail oriented with good time management skills and the ability to fit in a fast-paced agile environment.
