Senior Engineer / Expert Engineer Wind Turbine Control (m/f/d)

Your Tasks
  1. Coordination of new wind turbine control requirements with mechanical / electrical and service departments in an international team.
  2. Creation of relevant SW specification documents.
  3. Concept and design of functional systems specification for the new as well as for existing turbine types (Multi Platform approach).
  4. Interface between mechanical / electrical departments and SW developers to clarify technically the systems functionalities and software specifications.
  5. Software architecture design for optimal execution of the control solution in a PLC, considering criteria like modularity and hardware abstraction layer.
  6. Development of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and qualification of new ideas.
  7. Analysis of field data and define optimized functionality.
  8. Defining acceptance tests for HIL and field tests.
  9. Support the wind turbine control end-to-end process, from beginning to series.
Your Profile
  1. Successfully completed technical bachelor / master degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, telecommunications or comparable with deep relation to software.
  2. Minimum work experience of 5-7 years.
  3. Advanced knowledge in abstract and modularized thinking and good knowledge in PLC Programming according to IEC61131.
  4. Knowledge in the use of Matlab/Simulink is nice to have.
  5. Experiences in the agile software development according to SCRUM are preferable.
  6. Experience with version control systems like SVN or Git.
  7. Good knowledge of different industrial communication protocols (Profinet, CAN, Modbus TCP, OPC-UA…) is required.
  8. Experience in Wind Industry is welcome, but not mandatory.
  9. High results orientation and quality awareness combined with initiative as well as responsibility, structured and sustainable way of working.
  10. English (very good written and spoken). Ideally skills in German or Spanish.
  11. Strong communication skills, assertiveness, organizational talent and intercultural competence.
  12. Reliability, flexibility and accuracy are basic requirements.
  13. Good team player in an international team and very good interpersonal skills, strong communicator.
  14. Availability to travel.
