Schneider Electric is seeking a talented individual to take on a global role as a Cybersecurity Initiative Coordinator. The successful candidate will be capable of taking on responsibility for coordinating and in some cases overseeing the management of cybersecurity initiatives across diverse teams within the company.

What will you do?

You will work within Cybersecurity Governance's Technology and Innovation team and will help extend this team's oversight and ability to coordinate, observe and direct cybersecurity initiatives that are of a technical nature across the wider organization. This role will strengthen the governance capability of the team in the management and direction of cybersecurity initiatives and innovation.

The role requires a well-organized individual who is capable of leading when necessary and has the ability to work with individuals and teams across the breadth of the organization. It is a role that requires collaboration and coordination.

Duties and responsibilities:
  1. Liaise with project managers, stakeholders, and project personnel, ensuring project requirements, scopes, and objectives are aligned with organizational goals.
  2. Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget.
  3. Analyse and report project progress.
  4. Keep track of technical cybersecurity initiatives that are being conducted across the organization.
  5. Keep the cybersecurity governance leadership informed and engaged on the number, nature, and progress of technical cybersecurity initiatives.


What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  1. Fluent in English. Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  2. Bachelor's degree; Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering/Science or a related field required.
  3. Strong understanding of program/project management techniques, methods, and terminology to efficiently manage program implementation.
  4. 2+ years in project management activities or similar.


Desirable skills that will give candidates an edge:
  1. 2+ years combined experience in product and systems security, cybersecurity, and general IT (Infrastructure, Operations or Architecture).
  2. Professional Certification in relevant fields is highly desirable such as: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Security standard: ISO7001, NIST, NIS, IEC 62443 and project management.
  3. Basic understanding of artificial intelligence and practical ways to apply it in a cybersecurity context (automation, data modelling, data mining, machine learning).
  4. Past experience in a global company working with people across diverse cultures and timezones.
