We are looking for a Key Account Manager Construction .

As Key Account Manager, you will work closely with the Managing Director Spain to drive commercial growth, while taking accountability for reaching targets and growth objectives in the construction market.

Ultimately, you will manage your accounts to ensure that you meet or exceed the expectations of our business targets and contribute to our company’s success in the long run.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Contribute to the commercial plan by identifying and leveraging partnership opportunities in the construction sector.
  2. Build and maintain a relevant network of construction companies (e.g. residential, industrial).
  3. Work closely with the marketing team, as well as support marketing activities, e.g. by giving company presentations and attending trade fairs.
  4. Work closely with other members of the sales team.
  5. Attend to customer queries.
  6. Drive sales growth by acquiring new customers, building sales partnerships, and nurturing relationships.
  7. Contribute to the performance of marketing activities of Bau Watch such as carrying out telephone campaigns, giving company presentations, and attending trade fairs.
  8. Develop and nurture new and existing customers and enter into partnerships by building and maintaining own relationship network.
  9. Follow up commercial opportunities to ensure a lasting bond between the customer and Bau Watch, by responding to partners’ and customers’ needs.
  10. Advise the key account manager, product management, and group management on opportunities and threats in the market.
  11. Advise possible adjustment of the commercial strategy based on experiences and data collected.
  12. Support sales team in acquisition of new customers by following up on marketing leads.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  1. Previous experience in managing key accounts and taking responsibility for achieving growth targets.
  2. Strong and credible relationships with key decision makers in your market.
  3. Highly goal-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Strong B2B sales experience and possess the ability to prospect and manage high-level relationships.

Formal Qualifications:
  1. Sales experience: Secondary vocational education.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in building partnerships and/or managing partnerships; ideally in a growth environment.
  3. Business development in B2B.
  4. Happy to travel around Spain, including overnight stays (paid expenses).
  5. Experience or interest to visit construction sites; previous experience of work or relationships in the construction industry; ideally TPC certification.
  6. Technology skills: Good knowledge of MS Office programs; preferably experience with CRM systems, such as Salesforce; preferably experience with ERP systems, such as SAP.
