Reporting to: Senior Breeder
Purpose: Acquire all breeding knowledge and skills to become a successful Breeder in a specific crop.
Geographical scope: One country
Operational level: Operational
Key accountabilities- Development of knowledge and skills to be able to plan all activities of a breeding project: Translation of the set Breeding targets into an operational breeding plan.
- Development of knowledge and skills to be able to execute the activities of a breeding project: Making the right plant and line selections on critical moments in the breeding cycle.
- Development of knowledge and skills to be able to maintain detailed records throughout the breeding cycles.
- Development of knowledge and skills to be able to make decisions to advance material to R2 and planning of trial productions and screening trials.
- Development of knowledge and skills to handover R3 material to Seed Production according to the defined specifications and register in the designated system (currently Varmas).
- Development of knowledge and skills to be able to implement developed technology and traits in the breeding program.
