DESCRIPTION OF THE VACANCY

Ormazabal Burgos Switchgear is looking to incorporate a Product Support Design Engineer. The main function will be to manage the product lifecycle, applying various improvements from different sources within the organization, and being responsible for documentation, validation, and final industrial implementation, as well as communication.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage all requests and/or approvals for modifications through the appropriate application.
  2. Modify and maintain 2D, 3D, and specific purchase specifications for materials and surface treatments of various components and subassemblies.
  3. Modify or create structures and BOM in the corresponding management system.
  4. Participate in the approval of the necessity to perform modifications and in their validation through the corresponding tests.
  5. Communicate and distribute all documentation affected by modifications and the product lifecycle.
  6. Participate in periodic meetings with departments or suppliers affected by product modifications.
  7. Construct development prototypes and necessary tooling, following up and participating in the assembly of these prototypes on the production line or in the R&D workshop.
  8. Participate in improvement projects.
  9. Contribute to the analysis of external and internal non-conformities with quality.
  10. Participate in the approval of modified parts or subassemblies from suppliers.
  11. Knowledge of current electrical and mechanical regulations.
Requirements:

Degree in Industrial Technical Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Experience: 2 to 5 years in design within the electrical sector.
