ZPL430 - Product Development Manager (m/f/d)

KWS Vegetables is looking for a Product Development Manager (m / f / d) for our station in Murcia Region, Spain. This is a full-time and permanent role.

Key duties:

1. Develop new assortment for PMCs on local and country level
2. Implement Crop / PMC Trial plan in line with global crop trial plan
3. Member of local crop team(s); give input crop strategy, market- customer intelligence
4. Support development and maintenance of product profiles
5. Advise on and support introduction strategies
6. Ensure implementation / alignment of trial calendar

1. Design local trial plan, execute trial plan, data collection, draft conclusions, propose elevation decisions
2. Align with breeder and sales on product profiles per Product Market Combination, propose priorities, focus areas
3. Provide guidance / input to breeding direction and breeding selections
4. Market and competitor intelligence, together with sales; understand trends and drivers
5. Identify unique selling points of the new commercial varieties versus competitors and existing portfolio
6. Define growing protocols and growing concepts before commercial launching
7. Implementation and supporting use of tools like Mercado, etc.
8. Based on the portfolio, PDM can have multi-crop and cross-country responsibilities
9. Hierarchical and functionally leading Trial Development Specialist(s)

1. Quality Trial plan, design and execution
2. Product profiles defined
3. Preparation elevation meetings
4. Successful introductions
5. Define growing protocols and growing concepts before commercial launching

1. Requires a minimum of a B.S. in Agronomy or Horticulture
2. 3+ years of experience in the vegetable seed industry is preferred
3. General experience in product development
4. Fluent English in word and writing, additional language(s) are an advantage
5. Ability to think and act at different levels, prepared to put boots on the ground
