WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

PAGONXT TRADE is looking for a CLOUD DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR, based in our MADRID office.

• Merchant Solutions, for merchants and acquirers.
• Trade Solutions, for corporates and SMEs.

This role will be part of our PagoNxt Trade Solutions team and will be responsible for delivering fast, efficient trade finance, supplying chain and FX payments solutions for international SMEs that were once only accessible to larger corporations.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Cloud Database Administrator , you will administer and maintain different sets of databases hosted in the cloud. You will also provide DBA services to different teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and database operational and analytical production support. This position will work closely with developers in designing optimal and efficient solutions that are easier to support, maintain, and administer, with an emphasis on identifying cloud native opportunities.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

• Database design & data modeling
• Database monitoring
• Database performance tuning and optimization
• Database backup & recovery
• Database security

EXPERIENCE

• Expertise (>5 years) with databases clustering, mirroring, high-availability configurations, and their underlying operating systems and the associated hosting infrastructure.
• History of relevant database certifications, including AWS or Azure.
• Experience in migrating, deploying, supporting, and maintaining databases in the cloud.
• Strong understanding of database security.
• Understanding of cloud technologies and concepts with the ability to evaluate against future technical needs
• Ability to present ideas, concepts, project requirements, and design specifications verbally and in writing

EDUCATION

• Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field
