FIC - DIRECTOR CORPORATE FINANCE

TYPICAL PROFILE

6 to 10 years of experience in Corporate Finance or equivalent with a strong track record of origination in either M&A or FIG coverage environment. Strong sector knowledge and existing established client and industry relationships within the sector, especially in Iberia and with banks, insurers, and specialized financial services.

Show clear leadership potential and the ability to gain trust from clients and generate revenues. A strong reputation in FIG M&A and ECM with clients and the external community.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Marketing
    1. Suggest marketing initiatives (new ideas).
    2. Responsible for pitch books with minimal supervision of MD/D.
    3. Prepare outline and draft key sections.
    4. Supervise and check preparation of other sections.
    5. Settle meetings with potential clients in coordination with more senior bankers.
    6. Deliver full presentation to the client in a professional manner.
    7. Follow situations/clients on a long-term basis.
  2. Execution
    1. Manage day-to-day execution of deals.
    2. May act as project leader with support of MD/D depending on deal size.
    3. Handle complex processes and cope with challenging structures.
    4. Interact daily with client's project manager and deal captains at other advisors.
    5. Supervise preparation of all materials, including models and valuations.
    6. Review all materials (including valuation) thoroughly.
  3. Project Management
    1. Prepare internal procedures (committees, mandates).
    2. Organize work process for the full team, manage workload and priorities of junior members.
    3. Check with rigor and take full responsibility and ownership of all outputs from junior members.
    4. Spot issues timely and propose solutions.
    5. Keep MD/D informed about progress/bottlenecks and ensure timely involvement of MD/D.

Technical Competencies

Perfect mastering of modeling techniques. Exhaustive knowledge of CF procedures, accounting, financial, structuring, legal, and tax issues.
