Job Description : Job Location: Madrid or Valencia

The Project Planner will support Development and Project Delivery Unit teams in the Region ensuring that projects under development and construction receive the required support in planning and control, time scheduling and project programming and reporting to Statkraft standards.

The Project Planner reports to the Project Control Manager and is mainly responsible for creating and updating the project schedule from the development phase until the completion of the project, by analysing all available project data, considering all approved milestones, targets, constraints, risks, and assumptions.

As a Project Planner, your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Prepare the time schedule in MS Project, both in development and in execution phases
  • Monitor project progress by collecting the relevant information to update properly the time schedule
  • Plan and control the physical progress curves (S curves) for each project phase (i.e by discipline/trade, plant area, subcontractor/vendor)
  • Provide Planned Vs Actual analysis measured against the Baseline, as well as possible drivers and actions of improvement
  • Provide information to highlight any discrepancies between physical progress of the project and their economic impacts
  • Prepare project reports, periodically and on demand
  • Analyse the critical path and prepare the recovery action in agreement with the Project Team
  • Interface with all Company units on site or office based, as well as Contractors to provide scheduling data for the whole Project activities and resolution of potential schedule/work problems
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the overall Project Planner best practices

Qualifications :

  • Masters or University degree in Engineering, or similar with documented extensive experience in the field
  • MBA or MSc or equivalent training in Project Management and/or Project Planning area is a plus
  • Strong project planning experience from large, complex, international investment projects
  • Previous experience in renewable projects is mandatory
  • Good knowledge of relevant systems and tools including Microsoft Project / Project Online, Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with attention to details
  • Team player and self-motivated to take responsibility for independent work
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively support and work well with people from different disciplines
