WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

SCF HQ Risk Area, EWRM department, is looking for a manager for ESG Risks & Risk Identification and Assessment, based in our Boadilla del Monte (Madrid) office.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Manager , you will be responsible at SCF for ESG Risks as a second line of defence and will collaborate with the other lines and with Group areas. Besides, you will identify the main risks the entity is or might be exposed to , and assess the entity’s risk profile for the different risk types and as a whole. This includes performing these processes for the SCF Group and the Western Hub , and coordinating these exercises for the local units and joint ventures within the SCF footprint.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

  • ESG Risks :

  • Define the ESG Risk Strategy and coordinate ESG Risk related initiatives across different risk factors.

  • Monitor and report on the evolution of ESG risks through KRIs and Risk Appetite metrics.

  • Periodically review the ESG Risks Materiality Assessment.

  • Perform a 2LoD oversight of all Green Finance initiatives.

  • Collaborate in regulatory disclosure requirements such as Pillar III ESG, Short Term Exercise, Net Zero Banking Alliance, etc., by challenging the assumptions and results.

  • Risk Identification and Assessment :

  • Top Risks: process for the early identification of potential threats to the profitability, solvency or strategic objectives of the entity.

  • Risk Map: process to evaluate the materiality of the different risk types for the entity.

  • Risk Profile Assessment: process to provide with a holistic, systematic, objective and comparable representation at a given point-in-time of the entity’s risk profile, using a corporate methodology.

EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years in risk-related areas.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or other technical careers.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Languages: very fluent in English to be able to nuance requests (necessary). Valuable: French, German.
  • Knowledge of the different risk types, both financial and non-financial. Must have prior knowledge or an eagerness to learn about EGS Risks.
  • Soft skills: teamwork, communication, forward-looking mindset, comprehensive view, problem-solving, leadership.
  • Office tools (Excel, Power Point, etc.).

OTHER INFORMATION

  • Travel occasionally.

Ensure effective control and management of Enterprise Wide Risk in accordance with the level of risk appetite defined by the Group's senior management and units at a experienced level.
