The Business Development Manager will identify, create and pursue new business opportunities. They will be responsible for establishing new business relationships and effectively identifying and communicating appropriate foreign exchange solutions. Ability to communicate, present and negotiate with executive level positions within a prospective company both over the phone and in person is essential for success in this position. Full availability to travel is a must.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of the foreign exchange market to provide relevant market information to our wider business
  • Establish, secure, and manage relationships with existing and potential landlords
  • Promote and cross sell business solutions and foreign exchange services to existing and potential landlords
  • Develop sales strategies and plan to best position products and services
  • Identify marketing/brand awareness campaigns for current and potential clients as well as conduct ongoing analysis of the market to identify business opportunities
  • Comprehend and adhere to compliance obligations, Anti-Money Laundering and all company policies
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuing education and knowledge of foreign exchange industry in general
  • Build tender submissions in response to RFP’s issued by landlords
  • Manage a Pipeline of new business opportunities and present these to the Business Development Director on a monthly basis
  • Build sound business cases working in conjunction with the finance department and present these to the Business Development Director and wider business
  • Perform all other reasonable duties as requested by the Business Development Director

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience managing client relationships with a track record of sales success
  • 3-5 years experience working within a business development role within the foreign exchange sector or wider financial industry
  • B2B sales experience - B2B sales experience with gateway locations such as airports and railway stations or experience working on strategic tenders will be viewed favorably
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese
  • Team oriented, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic working relationships
  • Track record and ongoing ability to develop profitable and sustainable business cases
  • Sales ability (internal and external) and persuasiveness; with a focus on creating positive first impressions and demonstrating professionalism
  • Decision making, organizational and time management skills - with attention to detail
  • A tenacious approach; and possess a positive attitude toward and ability to effectively adapt to change

A high degree of self-motivation, with an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
