Role Overview

The Category Buyer is in charge of developing and executing category strategy for assigned categories. The Buyer supports all assigned locations for the products and services in scope, solve the need of the business and manage key suppliers. The Buyer works on Non Production systems (Coupa) and related files (OBE drive) and reviews and processes Requisitions and POs according to the local/global DOA in line with GPM policy.

Key Taks

  • Achieve yearly savings target on the assigned categories
  • Track saving ideas and progress in the Roadmap
  • Track cost avoidances and lower depreciation in the Roadmap (also if not recognized as P-save)
  • Achieve CapEx saving on depreciation and challange the business to have spare parts and services recognized as a P-save
  • Contribute to improve Free Cash Flow through payment term and consignment negotiatio
  • Challenge suppliers for price reductions when creating catalogs.
  • Mitigate industry price increases
  • Collaborate with Operation to competitively source new business
  • Execute sourcing commitees properly documented
  • Execute early engagement on all key programs
  • Ensure smooth launches, avoiding unnecessary escalation; if any escalation needed ensure that the problem is properly documented.

Key skills

Completed vocational training, BS/BA or equivalent experience

3 years experience in similar role in a multinational environment

Fluent English Skills
