We are looking for a highly skilled Platform Architect with expertise in designing and managing complex architecture systems. This role requires strong knowledge in microservices, event-driven architectures, and reactive principles, along with a deep understanding of API management, container technologies, and high-availability systems.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to liaise with senior management and external suppliers
• 3-5 years of experience in Architecture
• Strong knowledge in Microservices architectures, Event-Driven architectures, and Reactive principles
• In-depth experience in API Management technologies and standards
• Strong knowledge of container technologies and usage
• Proven experience in building highly scalable and highly available architectures with 24/7 deployments and multiple datacentres
• Clear understanding of Data in Motion technologies (Big Data, machine learning, real-time streaming, data lakes, transports like Kafka)
• Clear understanding of Data at Rest technologies (Oracle, SQL databases, NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, Neo4J)
• Knowledge of building secure web and mobile applications
• Strong experience with Public Cloud strategy, organizational transformation, and business cases

Responsibilities:

• Define and manage the architecture of the platform and its ecosystem, including integration points and full stack lifecycle management
• Lead the evolution of cloud services, ensuring functional and non-functional requirements such as risk, security, and technical debt are managed
• Minimize technical debt, reduce complexity, and improve consistency while shortening the time-to-market for the platform
• Define implementation roadmaps and lead business reviews with product owners, IT leads, and engineering teams
• Ensure security and data integrity across platform designs and operations, implementing global standards
• Break down business themes into epics and features for implementation across multiple platforms
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and teams by defining design patterns and writing Cookbooks that describe best practices

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working with machine learning models and Big Data technologies
• Knowledge in public cloud strategy and organizational transformations
• Strong leadership and ability to influence the technical direction of large-scale platforms

Location: Remote

Salary: Competitive based on experience
