About Marvell

Marvell’s semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, automotive, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities.

At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.

Your Team, Your Impact

Marvell Design advanced transceivers consist of broad-band channel equalization circuitries. Our DSP based Clock-Data-Recovery solutions consist of 10s of GHz ADC/DAC and employ Marvell's innovative technologies to address the extreme challenges in low-jitter clock generation and distribution. The results of these innovative works enable Marvell to produce the world’s first single-chip 100Gb/s (2x50G) PAM4 DSP transceiver (2015), world’s first single-chip 200Gb/s (4x50G) DSP based PAM4 transceiver (2018) and world’s first single-chip 400Gbps (4x100G) in advanced CMOS nodes.

What You Can Expect

As an Analog & Mixed-Signal Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing transceivers with multi-tens of GHz analog or DSP equalization capabilities.

You will:

  1. Contribute to the development of high-speed transceivers.
  2. Utilize proven experience in IC design, including chip tape-out and lab evaluation (gained during graduate studies or industry experience).
  3. Perform analog custom layout and use EDA CAD tools effectively.
  4. Measure IC performance and debug designs to ensure simulation results align with measurements.
What We're Looking For
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 3-5 years of related professional experience.
  2. Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 2-3 years of experience.
  3. Solid understanding of detailed transistor-level design, device physics, and control/feedback loop stability analysis.
  4. Strong team player with excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  5. Direct project experience in at least one of the following areas is a plus:
    1. ADC-DAC design
    2. PLL or clock/frequency generation design
    3. RF/High-Speed (10GHz+) issues
  6. Knowledge and experience in Verilog coding are advantageous.
  7. Experience with package-system integration issues is desired.
  8. Project experience using advanced CMOS nodes (FinFET experience is a plus).
